Veterans' Day 2021 Field of Honor ®
2021 will see a second annual Field of Honor® in Stoneham to recognize the efforts of military veterans, first responders and medical and our Covid-19 heroes. Hundreds of full-sized flags will wave in formation on the lawn in front of the Stoneham Central Middle School at 101 Central Street from Nov. 5 through November 13th. The installation will be lit, and Taps is played each evening at 5 pm. The display is free for the public to attend and draw inspiration as they walk between the flags displaying the names and stories of honorees. There are still opportunities to sponsor and dedicate flags to recognize the heroism of your friends and family in keeping the public safe.
A dedication ceremony will take place Sunday, Nov. 7 at 2 pm, which will be streamed live on Facebook, and recorded for StonehamTV with another short ceremony before the installation is dismantled on Nov. 13. This year's Veteran's Day ceremony on Nov. 11 will be held at Town Hall (35 Central St). |
About Us
The Field is being staged by the Stoneham Memorial Day Parade / Veterans Day Committee, with a host of volunteers. Proceeds will benefit the Stoneham Veterans' Emergency Fund, 1TribeFoundation and other veteran charities.
